About Alien Zero!

Colin began his mountain biking journey in 2006 in Phoenix with limited experience, riding easy trails. A turning point occurred in 2009 after riding his Yeti 575 at Sunrise Mountain. He tried a friend's downhill bike down a set of stairs at the local hotel, and, as a result, bought a downhill bike. Colin really got into the sport, having an epic time shuttling South Mountain.

However, because of his need for transporting tools and materials for work which necessitates taking the tailgate pad on and off constantly, he found conventional tailgate pad installation and removal to be very time consuming. Drawing from his background as a former sailmaker, he engineered a new design that allowed for easier installation and removal of the tailgate pad.

Fast forward to 2022 when Colin formed AlienZero. Although initially focused on creating lightweight riding apparel for hot climates, he shifted his focus back to improving tailgate pads, culminating in the development of a patent application to protect his innovative design: The Alien Zero ET Easy TailGater two-bike tailgate pad.
